The Super DC Calendar for 1977 2022: Nimble November Nippers

Whoa, I'm pretty sure Robin is about to land square on his head right there. Well, while the Teen Titans take tumbles, let me remind ya that this 1977 DC Calendar can be used in 2022, so get a big-ass carving knife and cut this calendar right out of your computer monitor! Don't bother to ask mom or dad first, they're too busy with their work woes, martinis, Pelotons and games of golf. They're too busy, don't give 'em more stress!

Yep, spend this November, all November, with the Teen Titans! And then we'll see y'all back here next month to screw on the lid down on the 2022 coffin, for good riddance!

The Super DC Calendar for 1977 2022: October Oblong Objects

🎶 How'd you like to spend Halloween 🎶
🎶 On Easter Island... 🎶

Well, that's what Deadman and the Spectre are doing, and shame on you for not inviting them to your Halloween party. They were dying to go! It's okay, actually...they got to hang out with a big rock group!

Yes, as Bob Dylan sang, on this very Halloween, everybody must get stoned!

The Super DC Calendar for 1977 2022: September Skyscraper Siege

Because naturally, if you're having a superhero fight at the top of the Empire State Building, you naturally call the flyingest, climbingest hero of them all: The Flash. Yeah, I know he's fighting a gorilla, but still. C'mon, Barry — when's it gonna be Congorilla's time to shine? Anyway, hang this on your wall all month, the way you shoulda had two apes hanging off this building!

The Super DC Calendar for 1977 2022: July Jousting and Jurisprudence

Well, more macing than jackhammering, but Hawkman's classic big-ass weapon doesn't start with J, and after June and now July I'm kinda running out of J-words. I'm in such jeopardy!

Anyway, enjoy the Hawks all this month because this 1977 calendar also functions as one for 2022! And it's set in my favorite city after Brooklyn, London! Don't you dare dent Big Ben, Carter Hall!

The Super DC Calendar for 1977 2022: June Jurisprudence in (Davy) Jones (Locker)

New! In a series of print 'em out, cut 'em out, paste 'em up on your wall (be cautious if you have parents or a cranky landlord): the 1977 Super DC Calendar! The wording of which always puzzles me: is it the calendar that's super, or just DC Comics? Or is the super-action between the Aquaman family (Aquaman, Lady Aquaman, Teen Aquaman, Topo, not pictured) against Black Manta? You make the call, because it's gonna be hanging on your wall (except, as I noted before, if anyone who owns your home objects) all this month long!

The same thing, but for Marvel? Comin' up in a mere half hour!

The Super DC Calendar for 1977 2022: May Monument Mischief

May is the month when Superman punches Lex Luthor's block off! I mean, right off from his body. Also, um, we gotta fix the Washington Monument, but I'm sure Supes can do that in a few seconds, welding it back with his pre-Crisis laser vision. I wonder if he re-attached Lex's head the same way. Anyway, enjoy this calendar for this month: the Mighty May!

The Super DC Calendar for 1977 2022: April in Paris, please do not cry / We've got a bendy rubber guy

Dig, if you will, Plastic Man stopping his arch-enemy (?) The Snuffer (oh no! He must kill people!) from melting the Giant White Chocolate Eiffel Tower that French Woozy Winks had gotten Plas for Easter. Bad Snuffer! BAD!

You too can "save" April by clippin' out this calendar and attaching it (with, I guess, Silly Putty) to your wall for month-long April 2022 excitement! Come on...be flexible!

The Super DC Calendar for 1977 2022: March Monument Madness!

Oh no! What slippery shenanigans is stinkin' Sinestro up to now? Why, he's only done gone and hijacked the Leaning Tower of Pisa, left dangling a damsel in distress (actually, it's more of a skirt than a dress), and he's shot an evil pirate missile at this Italian tourist town, threatening to turn all its inhabitants into scurvy dogs, Jim lad! Even that guy who was selling Pisa souvenirs in Superman III! Stop him, Hal Jordan!...oh, look who I'm talkin' to.

"March 1977", from Super DC Calendar 1977 (DC, 1976), pencils by José Luis Garcia-López

Anyway, Hal Jordan wishes you a Happy March, reminds you that you can use this 1977 March calendar all through March 2022...and please stay away from him with that banana.

The Super DC Calendar for 1977 2022: Fool-Filled February!

It's that time of the month again! Especially for me! (Stop giggling! I don't know what you're all laughing about.) It's time to hang up the new calendars for February, and let's take a look at what we've got on offer here. (Flips through my extensive calendar collection, but not for too long, 'coz it's a short month.)

from "The Big Forget!" in Action Comics (1938 series) #375 (DC, April 1969), script by Otto Binder, pencils by Curt Swan, inks by Jack Abel, letters by Ben Oda

Whoops! Leaving aside the problem that Batman is appearing in a Superman story and it isn't World's Finest Comics... Seriously, Batman, you know the terms of the restraining order, World's Finest only! A Bizarro calendar is of no use to us, no no no no! (No.) Especially since it doesn't list Yraurbef 32, Bizarro World's Leap Lie Down Day, which is one of my favorites.

Here's a better calendar for this month, because even tho' it's from 1977, it works for 2022...too! (Say that three times fast. Sit down, Harvey Dent.) Cut it out and hang it on your wall, not unlike the way the Joker has hung Robin from his own chin on Mount Rushmore. Now that's a cliffhanger!

"February 1977", from Super DC Calendar 1977 (DC, December 1976), pencils by Ernie Chan, inks by Frank Giacoia

Happy February, everyone! And stay off of national monuments!

From Your Calendar Bull: Calendars for January 2022 and the whole dang year, actually!

cover of Popular Comics #13 (Dell, February 1937), artists unknown

Happy New Year! Well, I'm a little late, but I know you've been awaiting patiently (I hope) the beginning of my posts for Calendars from Past Comics Books That Work in 2022! That means (checks my handy clockwork wind-up Perpetual Calendar copyright 1907 by Smith & Tinker, Inc.) any calendar for 1949, 1955, 1966, 1977, 1983, 1994, 2005, or 2011...the Golden Age of Comics! (And, uh, the other ones.)

All of these you can cut out from your computer (please turn the power off first) and paste them up on your wall for January 2022 (or, as mentioned above, the whole dang year) for everyday calendarin' enjoyment! Note: before you use scissors, please get the permission of a parent or guardian or the nearest otter.
