Born on this day in 1935: manga artist Jiro Kuwata, creator of Maboroshi Tantei (Phantom Detective), 8 Man, Ultra Seven, and of course the delightful Batman: The Jiro Kuwata Batmanga in the pages of Sonen King. Now translated and published in the US, it allows us us all to experience the wonders of that manga, including the gloriously bizarre villain Lord Death Man!
