At last! After pre-ordering it months ago, now at last I can shout in triumph "TOM STEWART KILLED ME!" with the newly-restored, ultra-feature-crammed edition of Tormented (1960), starring Hollywood Actor Richard Carlson!


It even includes the full Mystery Science Theater 3000 riffing of the movie! Now that's entertainment!

Stuff Bully Got: Gently used books!

I went to the Big Reuse thrift shop in Gowanus shop today! They didn't have any $2 record LPs I wanted (tho' if you're a Streisand fan, head on over), but I found some great books! The clerk charged me for the comic price rather than the paperback price so I got 'em all for $3!

John and I went today to the excellent Radio-Active Records (highly recommended if you're in the Ft. Lauderdale area) and picked up lots of cool LPs for his (re)growing collection! An' I helped!


We are mostly trying to re-assemble his previously discarded college record collection.




These record albums can also serve as cool backdrops for your thriller movie about Giant Stuffed Kittens! (Giant Stuffed Kitten not included)

Stuff Bully Got for Christmas: That Steve Martin book

I got Number One Walking by Steve Martin and Harry Bliss from my sister for Christmas! It's been on my wish list since it was announced so I was very, very happy to open it! About half the book is Steve telling anecdotes about his work in movies, his discussion translated into comics by Harry. Very entertaining!


I laughed out loud several times and you can definitely hear the stories in Martin's voice. On the other hand, the second half half of the book is single page gag cartoons that are pretty good — in the style of The New Yorker, or, for some of the more absurd ones, B. Kliban...but they're printing one panel to a two-page spread and I flipped through them very quickly, making it a pretty fast read. I read this in about half an hour. As I like to say, two hoofs up!

Randi bought two of the six-figure boxes and wound up with the complete set of twelve different figures between them. (We did wind up with some dupes but only because I'd bought some single fig packs before). So if you don't want duplicates, buy a six-pack! (This advice also given to me by Mister Rowsdower.)

The thing that's bugging me is it was packaged and shipped by Amazon, but it's a third party vendor. I think if a seller does "fulfilled by Amazon" it ought to be as simple to get a refund as it is through Amazon, but it isn't.

There is no answer to my request to contact the seller. I can request a replacement or refund but I have to commit to sending the item back, at my cost. (They really wouldn't want it back.)

I could put it in an Amazon locker, but the one near me is "full."

Waste of my time or money or both.

This was delivered by one of the contract Amazon deliverers and I really hate to bring it up because they get dinged in their metrics. But it was SMASHED TO BITS.
