A public announcement

For the person who keeps Googling the phrase "comic story arc spider-man manhattan medieval bubble" and persistently clicks through multiple times to my site...

You want Uncanny X-Men #190 and 191. Trust me.

If you want the full story, read Marvel Team-Up #79 first:

Hope that helps. If you've never read these three comics, you're in for quite a treat.

That is all.

Ooh - is that the reality that the Exiles visited in a few episodes, where New York had been transformed by Kulan Gath (sp?) into a medieval world, and only Spider-Man knew about it?

Go back even farther and Kulan Gath first appeared in a Conan/Elric comic back in the 70s.

That was a good story.

Isn't there also a pair of Exiles issues of the same flavor, fairly recently-ish (a couple years)? With Kulan and Co. and the whole 'Medieval takes Manhattan' thing?

Exiles #55-57, with a dandy triptych cover. Thanks for the reminder; I'd forgotten about that. Spider-Man features prominently too, so it might be that the search was referring to.

I remember those X-Men comics as being really good. It's amazing that the story was finished in just two issues. Imagine how long it would take now: six issues, for sure (to be collected in a trade), then probably a crossover of six or ten issues of other people's comics.

I miss the old days when two issues was a long story.

As bad as it sounds, any fan of these issues will want to check out the Marvel/Dynamite cross-over just released on August 1.

Spider-Man / Red Sonja by Mike Oeming brings Kulan Gath back to the Marvel U. and Mary Jane once again gets possessed by Red Sonja.

Does Kulan Gath ever explain how he survives that blasting by Terhali in the Conan/Elric story previously mentioned? Or is that the start of the necklace of doom?
