The Adventures of Bully: Here we go again

Well, one down, three hundred sixty-four to go. And I hope you survive the experience.

Goodnight an' Happy New Year.

Stuff Bully Got: Comic books from Escape Pod Comics

On this fresh bright New Year's Day, we drove out to Huntington on Long Island to visit Pal Menachem Luchins's excellent shop Escape Pod Comics! I bought a buncha backissues at from his always-excellent selection, and virtually all of these will be later donated to Housing Works Bookstore and Café (where I volunteer) when I've finished reading them. I'll let you know when they're up for re-sale!

Menachem stocks a great selection of new comics and graphic novels, but I really love his huge back issue room! i could spend hours and hours in here lookin' for stuff (and I tried to, but eventually John and Randi said we had to go. Boo!)

I bought myself some books too!

So my point, and I do have one, is to git yerself (in my cowboy voice) out to Huntington, New York, and to Escape Pod Comics! Tell Menachem a li'l stuffed bull sent you! He'll say "Which one?"

Meanwhile, In Brooklyn...: Thwarted

They paved the sidewalk outside our apartment with new concrete and I drew a little picture of myself in it! But the guys who laid it down kept coming back and smoothing out everything wouldn't leave until it dried. Curse you, cement fascists!

Bully Eats Food: Bay Market Kitchen

We went shopping today and had lunch at Bay Market Kitchen! It's upstairs at Liberty Plaza in Industry City (where the Captain America statue is)! Eaten out in the wild: grilled chicken quesadilla (me) and spicy Korean chicken bowl with kimchi (Shelly).

Later, we went to World Market, because I'd heard I heard they named a variety of hot sauce after me...OH COME ON.

And we brought home Dark Knight Ice Cream! It's got Batman on the top, a comic on the back, and little chocolate bats in the mix. two hoofs up!

All in all, a totally excellent day for eating food.
