Blaise Pascal, inventor of the Pascaline (an early calculator you could not spell "BOOBS" on), master of probability theory, creator of
The Treatise on the Arithmetical Triangle (a convenient tabular presentation for binomial coefficients which he called the arithmetical triangle, but is now called Pascal's triangle. Thanks, Wikipedia!) and designer of Pascal's Wager, which ended with him owing forty large to the Vegas mob.
Also, he died pretty uniquely.
