Today in Comics History, October 13, 1939: A shocked and stunned nation in 1939 cannot comprehend the startling revelation that the Daily Bugle can print its first page in color!?! For free?!?

This is an expanded and updated version of a post originally published October 13, 2022.

Not to mention, inside that paper: Uncle Ben, Aunt May, General Ross, Reed Richards' dad...who wasn't born this week? (Note: as unoffixial keepers of the birthdates of the Marvel Universe, I reject all these announcements as non-canon, so Not Born on This Date.. After all, we do know Aunt May's birthday is in...May!

Well, maybe the comic book itself will tell us...hey, wait, that's an entirely different front page for today's Bugle!
