from Mighty Marvel Calendar 1976 (Marvel, 1975)
Jean is a co-creator of Werewolf by Night and Night Nurse, and (with Win Mortimer) the first (but sadly non-canon) Spider-Woman: Valerie the Librarian (a character played by Hattie Winston on The Electric Company)!
from "Spider-Woman?" in Spidey Super Stories #11 (Marvel, August 1975), script by Jean Thomas, pencils by Win Mortimer, inks by Mike Esposito and Tony Mortellaro, letters by Ray Holloway
Jeanie gets featured in Bullpen Bulletins:

Rascally Roy Thomas often featured his then-wife in his comics stories, especially in the famous series of Rutland Halloween Parade stories that Roy often wrote himself and his comics creator pals into! Aw, c'mon, Roy, don't give your wife dumbbell dialogue. Sheesh!
from The Avengers (1963 series) #83 (Marvel, December 1970), script by Roy Thomas, pencils by John Buscema, inks (and colors?) by Tom Palmer, letters by Herb Cooper
Rutland Halloween host Tom "Mr. Halloween" Fagan welcomes Roy and Jean and tells 'em a spooky story:
from Marvel Feature #2 [The Defenders] (Marvel, March 1972), script by Roy Thomas, pencils by Ross Andru, inks by Sal Buscema, letters by Sam Rosen
Check out that clever annotation footnote. Pretty sneaky, Steve!
from Amazing Adventures #16 [The Beast] (Marvel, January 1973), script by Steve Englehart, pencils by Bob Brown, inks by Frank McLaughlin, colors by Glynis Oliver, letters by Charlotte Jetter. Marie Severin did penils and inks on the faces of Gerry Conway, Len Wein, Glynis Wein, Steve Englehart and Tom Fagan.
Now, Jean Thomas has been listed as being in this Sub-Mariner free-for-all page with lots of the Marvel Bullpen, but I can't find a definitive ID that pinpoints which character she is. We can identify Marie Severin (top center, black suit), Flo Steinberg (green bikini and bathing cap), and the family in the upper right are non-comics friends of Marie Severin, so Jean is likely either the brunette in the white-and yellow one-oiece (middle left standing behind Stan Lee) or the bikinied redhead (my guess). There's no blonde women in the pic. Do you know for sure?
from Sub-Mariner (1968 series) #19 (Marvel, November 1969), script by Roy Thomas, pencils and colors by Marie Severin, inks by Johnny Craig, letters by Artie Simek
One thing I am pretty sure of: the Jean Thomas featured in this jungle adventure story is not our Jean Thomas!
from Jungle Comics (1940 series) #34 (Fiction House, October 1942), script by Victor Ibsen, pencils and inks by Nick Cardy
So let's wish a very happy birthday to the real, genuine, one and only original Jean Thomas of comics!
