Michael, I was trying to work in a Hank Hill reference and didn't squeeze it in. Thank you for making sure our favorite family from Arlen is repped!

Oh Fess Parker! *sigh*

It's a slight cheat, H...I have the feeling that the two Jack Jackson books are simply different covers or connected some way, and the Jim Bowie and second Davy Crockett covers are specifically Alamo-based...

But in the Texas spirit, hee-hah, and thanks!

I wonder what the Two-Gun Kid comic was about - he'd have been around decades after the Alamo, I believe.

How about "Alamo II" from Kirby's 1970s run on Captain America. Of course, that involved the defence of a mental hospital flaoting in another dimension, but the spirit is there. http://comics.org/details.lasso?id=30412

Got some good covers there. The one with Fess Parker on it, I've got that one myself. Got it last September at an antique store in Columbia, Missouri. They had some old comic books sitting on some chair in a display and there it was, right on top. Only paid $10 bucks for it.
