For the record, the South won the peace.
Personally, being something of a dotard, I've felt for years that fighting the Civil War was a mistake on Lincoln's part. The proof's been coming almost non-stop since the end of Reconstruction, maybe even during. And there's more proof every day.
They fail to mention that for his recklessness Morgan was posthumously demoted to captain and sentenced to serve as mascot on a line of flavored rum.
