Today in Comics History, May 15: Happy birthday, Nicholas Hammond!

A very spidey birthday to Nicholas Hammond, who was television's second live-action Spider-Man (after The Electric Company)! He played Peter Parker (and shh, don't tell Jonah) in 13 episodes of CBS's The Amazing Spider-Man TV series from 1977-1979.

Well, aside from that, Mr. Lee, how did you enjoy the show?

Over in the UK, fans got to see the pilot on the big screen! Because the BBC wasn't "hip" enough to run the series!
