George Evans has always been a personal favorite of mine. He often drew himself into his stories, like in Dell's adaptation of the movie The Underwater City. George is standing in a group of reporters apparently eyeing the buffet. I was privileged to correspond with Evans briefly many years ago. His letters were friendly and chatty and I got the impression he was a really nice guy. Wish I could have met him in person.
