Of course Peter David wrote this. And I like how Crow, Tom Servo, and Bender are suggested in the drawings but they're not directly copied. So did little Skippy eventually find acceptance?
Il'l run more from the story later this year, but Skippy is the red R2-type droid that Owen Lars was going to buy but had a bad motivator. Does that help?
