I knew what Sugar and Spike was before this series of posts, but had never read any. I see now that Sugar and Spike revolved around the need to hammer home the repeated joke that the kids are just saying gibberish, not actually communicating! That is hilarious the hundredth time! Haw! The adults don't know the kids are TALKING!

Huh. I never realized this before, but Sugar and Spike's moms look exactly like Superman Jr. and Batman Jr.'s moms.
