Alfred's clothes, like Alfred, are inside the Outsider. Alfred's outside is the Outsider's inside and Alfred's inside is inside Alfred's outside and the Outsider's inside, which is inside the Outsider's outside..

I've always considered Plastic Man's goggles to be, not store-bought, but Eel O'Brien's very eyeballs.
