A fun issue, but do you know why the Thor in this one was the Red Norvell model? The Hulk even calls Hogun on it, but he won't say...

Googum, if I remember my Thorology correctly, at this point Odin had gone bat-crap-crazy, banishing Thor (and removing most of his powers) and Beta Ray Bill from Asgard and installing Legion of Substitute Thor member Red Norvell as the canonical god of thunder.

Slap-dash in the middle of this story Thor volume 1 is cancelled and the "real" Thor disappears following Onslaught. The story is confusingly picked up in "The Lost Gods" issues of Journey Into Mystery, which involved the gods of Asgard being changed into ordinary mortals and the quest to restore them to their true identities. Hmmm, sound familiar, JMS???
