Truth In Advertising. Unlike the multiple crises which followed, with or without countdowns, CoIE actually did change the DCU. Many of the changes continue through today (the Golden Age characters are on the same earth as the Silver and Bronze Age). Others lasted twenty years (Superman as the only surviving Kryptonian; the death of Barry Allen).
