Ahoy, ye scurvy dogs! Today do be International Talk Like a Pirate Day, arrrr Jim lad. To celebrate, hoist yer cup o' grog and salute the cap'n and do be lookin' wit' yer one good eye at this 'ere Ten o' a Kind Extra:
Roland, all I can answer is: Why not? Why wouldn't he fight pirates?
Actually, it's been some time since I looked at it, but if I remember, this Nightcrawler miniseries (1985) featured Kurt bamfing his way through different fantasy worlds, trying to get back home. The pirate world was the first of them, allowing Nightcrawler to engage in his Errol Flynn swashbuckling fantasies.
'Member when Nightcrawler was the happy-go-lucky, carefree, larger-than-life adventure character in The X-Men?
If only Tales of the Black Freighter had ever made the cover of The Watchmen, you could have combined this one with the comics-on-the-cover ten of a kind.
