Always.
This still brings a tear to my eye.
Added observation: Both Thor and Skurge were injured, in their own ways, and equally willing and capable of making the heroic sacrifice. But in the center of this sequence we have Balder who, without warning or words, is thrust into the position of making the critical choice between vengeance or trust. So many things happening here.
It's such an amazing story, and while I picked this sequence out early in the year, I haven't re-read the Thor comics for a couple of years. Time to revisit Simonson's run soon, I think. I've got that great big omnibus of it!
