First: I guess the Code took a magnanimous view of where she may have hidden that disruptor.
Second: Those colors scream to me that this is from the Special Edition reprint, in which case — per the GCD, as I just looked it up — the colorist is Bob Sharen; how much he went by the original colors when redoing them for the Baxter paper I couldn't tell you.

Thanks, Blam! Yes, it's occurred to me now that I'm posting panels often from digital files that have been recolored or reprints like this, I'm not always properly crediting the artist whose work you're seeing. Thanks for noticing and helping!

Anytime. I have a real soft spot for those particular reprints — the format in general; despite being the right age, I wasn't particularly a Micronauts fan — so the dichotomous date jumped out at me. Please understand that me pointing out this sort of thing is purely for the sake of credit where it's due, especially since errors will only snowball once a popular source (like this here excellent blog) is cited or just plain appropriated elsewhere, no matter how small the detail. There's already too much that's genuinely lost or perennially misstated about comics history. Still, I wouldn't do it if I didn't think you felt the same — I hope.

I absolutely appreciate it!

Just to clarify, I didn't mean that I hoped you felt the same — I surely think you do — but rather I hoped that if in fact I believed you'd rather I didn't point out this sort of thing then I wouldn't despite how strong the pull of such scrupulousness on my part can be. 8^)
