Oh, okay, if you pressure me or bribe me with Oreos, I'll admit I have used these panels before, but the comic being spotlighted was Mark Martin's Happy Birthday Gnatrat. So I stand by putting these up again! Plus, I found a less garishly-computer colored reprint than last year's, since I can't locate my copy of Batman #1. Anyway, a good origin story demands an encore! So long, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne!

Indeed. Which is why — Fun Fact! — this origin was actually taken from Detective Comics #33, published over six months before Batman #1, where it preceded the main action of "The Batman Wars against the Dirigible of Doom" (except for the splash panel, which in #33 was specific to that story, so the hero shot of looming Batman seen here is taken from a story in #34). Also of note: Thomas Wayne's Dick Tracy cosplay. (Where do you get a yellow fedora, anyway?)
And you know, I had done 'Tec #33 previously in this series, so it is a re-run after all! Geez, I need you to properly annotate my spreadsheet, Blam!
