I don't know how President Lincoln fell in with those sea pirates, but since "bandage on head" is universal comics shorthand for "hard blow to noggin" I'm gonna say amnesia. Or I guess time travel and then amnesia. Or maybe amnesia first, then some time travel? What I'm trying to say here is, "Look! Valerie Vaughn types in Morse code!"
