Ad for the (oh, dear) "Injun Kap" on tubes of Kolynos toothpaste from Detective Comics #146 (April 1949)
Perhaps more entertaining than brushing your teeth with an Indian's head (and certainly more politically correct) is a large series of Kolynos advertisement comic strips that one of my favorite artists, Frank Robbins, did in the 1950s. Check 'em out here!

"Sorry, the page you were looking for in this blog does not exist."
Technically, you aren't brushing your teeth with an Indian's head; your brushing your teeth with his, uh, vomit. MUCH better.
Billy: Fixed the link--thanks for spotting it!
And yes, but eww.
Thanks for the link to those Robbins Kolynos ads at Ger Appeldorn's blog! As soon as I read the first one I wished you'd posted it here; I love how the lady's all into the fella once he deals with his dental health, unawares that his mirror reflection talks back to him. Plus the colors are phenomenal.
