I admit I don't keep up with X-Men comics. So, umm, in 1999, at least in "Children of the Atom," Hank was a super popular brainy jock and Scott a sad mopey nerd whose only friends were Nietzche, his apple, and (maybe) Professor X who's no doubt reading his adolescent anxiety in that last panel (at least until he too finds it too dull and depressing)? Did Hank later kick sand in his face, causing Scott to send in for dynamic tension cords and dumbbells?
