Jerry Bruckheimer's a producer, not a director. You're thinking of Michael Bay, or possibly Tony Scott.

I adore Buscema's work on Silver Surfer. It's too bad that it was tied down by a limiting concept (Surfer trapped on Earth...boring) and Stan lee's waning skills as a writer. Though the Mephisto issues were pretty cool.
