Clearly Ben had not learned the first lesson of How Not to be Seen.
Really, this may not be my favorite Jack Kirby panel but it's very much my favorite Stan Lee panel. In that whole sequence the writing and art fuse perfectly to convey this horrible sense of fate moving forward slowly but unavoidably. Doom can't stop Ben Grimm, and Ben can't stop being the Thing.
I agree - this is without question my favorite Thing panel, ever. Vince Colletta's final moment.
When people ask me why The Thing is my favourite superhero this panel is all I need to show them.
