I can't have been the first to realize this, but...

52 ends in a few weeks. Its final issue will hit the stores on May Second.

5/2/07.

Five.

I'm not exactly sure why, but this fact pleases me immensely. I love to see a plan come together so well.

Only in America, li'l guy. In the UK we'd write is as 2/5/07, which ruins the effect somewhat.

There's a movie plot in there somewhere. I think I'll call it, "The Number 52".

It's too bad they couldn't push the page count to 52 - I read somewhere that they were stopping at 48.

Whilst that thing about the UK date system is true, it's also true that the system 2007/5/2 is gaining in prevalence, and the "52" thing works in that one too.

I gather that Titan Books will be supplementing their usual policy of creating "British" editions of DC trade paperbacks by defacing the back cover with an enormous unremoveable new price sticker. They will also be overstickering the front cover with the new title "25".
