On this date in the year 1955, at the Hill Valley (California) High School
Fish Under the Sea Enchantment Under the Sea dance, noted science-fiction writer George McFly and his eventual bride Lorraine Baines first fell in love thanks to the help of an out-of-town visitor named Marty. It is also the date of the famous Hill Valley lightning storm that struck the town clock tower, freezing its hands ever after at 10:04 PM.
Interestingly enough, this same phenomenon of clock towers stopped at 10:04 has been spotted in different towns in states (presumably) other than California:
Noted local
crackpot scientist Doctor Emmett Brown theorizes this date may hold some special significance, being the temporal junction point for the entire space-time continuum. Or, it could just be some amazing coincidence.
