If you read my blog often enough (and if you aren't, why not?!?!? Huh? Huh?) then you know that one of my bestest pals is Shelly the Little Otter Puppet. She is bossy and pesky sometimes but most of the time I like hangin' around her and we are good friends.
Today is Shelly's birthday! Hooray! She's seven years old, so she's a little older than me, which makes her think she can boss me around, especially when we play board games. No you cannot boss me around Shelly! You have to play fair and square!
Shelly doesn't like comics as much as I do (then again, who does?). She mostly likes fish. But to celebrate her birthday, and also because I forgot to buy her a present, I am making today Shelly Day right here on Comics
And that's where I hit a little bit of a snag. Turns out there really aren't that many otter comic book covers out there.
Eventually I found this one and put it up as number two:
And then, all of a sudden, through the magic of Photoshop, I suddenly got myself a whole buncha more otter comic book covers! Feast your little button eyes on these, Shelly!

Eeeeeeeeeee otters! :3
I hope you keep the adorable birthday banner up for a while :D
Otterdammerung and Welcome Back, Otter got real live LOLs out of me. Well played, Bully.
Happy Birthday Shelley.
Maybe someone needs to write "Otter Guard" or "Otters Templar".
("mipweers" sounds like otter talk.)
A day of otter puns? How otterly delightful!
Shelley, I'd be happy to send you a capybara companion. They are very popular here in Japan and I've given away several to friends here. Click around here for some cute capybara cavorting!
Dear Editor-
I would think shelly would be very upset that you called her a puppet. I mean would you say the same about bully? They are both real people and any indication to the contrary should probably result in some one sleeping with the fishes. I've heard rumors that shelly has connections to some shady members of the otter community who would, at the slightest word from the countess make sure that this problem never happens again. Clearly the fact that you were not kneecapped was done in deference to bully, but it has come to my attention and those in the rest of the five families so that one more slip up and you may next be sleeping with the fishes.

Happy Birthday Shelly!
Us otters aughter stick together. I was proudly named Otter my first year at university, and have been proud to carry the moniker ever since!
I was still kinda mad about how Shelly treated you at Bully-Con 2009, but darn it, if you can forgive, I can too! Happy birthday, Shelly!
