The 5,000 Hats of Jack Kirby (one of a series)
Much like Raymond, everybody loves Jack. His dynamism and power is legendary in the world of comics. His innovative and explosive artwork has influenced hundreds of professionals and inspired thousands of fans. He draws the best superhero fights in the business. He's renowned for his far-out architecture, wild spaceship design, and his machinery, weaponry, and electronics are so powerfully distinctive that they have their own name: Kirbytech.

Magnificent! My hats off to you, Bully. (Hah, I'm the first to say it...)
Wow! That's ten times as many hats as Bartholomew Cubbins!!!
That's because Kirby is ten times the awesome!
And not, uh, because I couldn't remember the name of that book and then couldn't find it by Googling it because I had the wrong number, oh no sirree.
Aaagghh! Galactus with short sleeves!
Gosh, Kirby had an insane imagination. And I did enjoy seeing Tony Stark in an opera hat.
So dapper.
Just because you've spoiled #1 (which in hindsight, could not have been anything else), I hope that doesn't mean this WON'T be a recurring feature.
More hats please!
And this is only for Fantastic Four. You could get another 5000 out of New Gods alone.
Great post. It's a simple thing, but it really shows in microcosm just why Kirby is so revered. I want that hat that the pointy-moustache Skrull is wearing!
Well said. Kirby's fantastic helmets and crowns seem the only absolutely normal headgear to wear in the comics -- love that Namor crown.
Frankly, with all the other spectacular headgear flouncing 'round the Kirbyverse, I'm wondering how they kept Namor of all people happy with that comparatively itty-bitty coronet. Here's hoping he never winds up on a diplomatic mission to the Inhumans' nation.
Also...I have no idea why, but the phrase 'chair of survival' cracks me up every time I read it.
I do love me a good hat.
Wish I'd thought of this. *grumbles*
What I wouldn't give for a shopping spree in a Kirby-themed haberdashery!
