Y'know, that image of Jughead eating the Earth reminded me of something. I remember reading many, many years ago about an actual Earth sandwich being created. Two teams, one in Spain and one in New Zealand, put slices of bread down on the ground at points exactly opposite to each other on the world's surface. Photos, GPS confirmation, etc. Sounds like Jughead's thing...
The Spectre did the whole earth thing at least twice. The earliest one I could find is Showcase #61 , "Beyond the Sinister Barrier". "They fought for possession of earth--with earth itself as the weapon."

I kinda get the feeling that the Jughead artist has never actually seen a globe. What continent is that supposed to be?

That Jughead globe actually looks perfectly normal if you invert the colors.
Man, Bully, how did you know I was a sucker for a Crazy Neal Adams gag?
1. How did they get away with a Weird Worlds cover showing an ape making sweet, sweet monkey-love to the Earth?
2. Jugalactus?
