Y'know, even before your page fully loaded, I knew this post would contain that Andru hall-of-mirrors cover - I could visualize it. I don't know why that comic is so ingrained in my memory, but it is.

Walaka, that cover was actually the beginning of the inspiration for this week's post! It was the first cover I pulled for a possible "Ten of a Kind," but I was thinking the theme would be "fun house mirrors." But as I leafed through Wonder Woman covers, it was fun to see how many of them featured Wonder Woman duplicates or triplicates, sometimes within a couple issues of each other.

I loves me some Ross Andru too. When I think old-school Pre-Crisis Wonder Woman, his portrayal is the one that pops into my head.

I've always loved that bike-pants/flat lace sandals outfit. It always seemed the most practical.

But the belt has to be yellow.

Bully! I was going to post these covers as part of my upcoming evil twin week!!

Oh well, looks like stuffed animals and Fortress Keepers think alike ...

I agree with you re. Ross Andru. He is one of the great - yet unheralded - Wonder Woman (and Spider-Man) artists.
