Today in Comics History: Dog carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach, and my nose is twitching.

Let's all wish a happy birthday today to two of comics' favorite crimefighters: a guy in a rubber mask...and a guy with no mask who's made of rubber! Happy birthday, Rorschach and Elongated Man!

script by Alan Moore, illustrations penciled and inked by Dave Gibbons

Panels from the Elongated Man story "Green Lantern's Blackout!" in Detective Comics #350 (April 1966), script by Gardner Fox, pencils by Carmine Infantino
Elongated Man's March 21 birthday taken from The Super DC Calendar 1976, date determined by Bob Rozakis

Remember that Brave and the Bold back-up series where Ralph and Walter would team up and catch bad guys? Oh, that was a hoot!

That...that's an interesting combination, that's for sure!

God, I miss Ralph and Sue.

Did he just change clothes in front of all those people?
