I agree. One might even say inspired. I'm beginning to look forward to it.
And it's such a relief they selected against the pretty-person trend and got someone who'll bring something to their acting. Or that indeed will be acting in the first place.
I feel like Downey is the kind of actor who will, but I still feel the need to hope they go there.
The chance for a little self-reflection on the big screen is just too exciting a moment to pass up. Obviously that's where the gold potentially lies.
That said, looking away from Cruise, one starts to feel the sense of a creative, character driven adventure, rather than a Michael Bay style action, sweeping wideshot extravaganza.

Which, I think, is at least half good news!
Lets not forget that Robert D. is also in Indiana Jones. But of course, nothing can over shadow Iron Man.
