I remember the Bugs Bunny comics as being quite different than the cartoons. There, Elmer had a carrot patch that Bugs was always raiding, as opposed to Elmer going out to hunt Bugs. And also Yosemite Sam was a pirate for some reason.
It's interesting to me that in the case of the Disney Ducks, the comics are more well-loved and remembered than the cartoons, whereas with Looney Tunes it's the other way around. Obviously they couldn't compete with Carl Barks or Floyd Gottfredson, but I do remember some of those Bugs comics as being pretty darned good. Reprint time!
