Born on this day: comics writer Kelly Sue DeConnick, co-creator of Pretty Deadly and Bitch Planet, and writer on such series as Captain Marvel, Avengers Assemble, Osborn, Aquaman, Ghost, and more! She was a consultant on the 2019 Captain Marvel movie and had a cameo in the film. She's also the translator of several manga, including Fruits Basket, Black Cat, Demon Diary, Kare First Love, and Sensual Phrase.
