Today in Comics History, July 12: Happy birthday, Buckminster Fuller!

A very doméd birthday going out today to Mr. Buckminster Fuller (born in 1895), architect, futurist, and inventor of many forms, ideas, and building models such as the geodesic dome, the geobiological dodecahedron, and the National Geographical Zocchihedron.

"Now, uh, w-w-w-wait there just one darn minute, Bully, you say, in your Jimmy Stewart impression, and pretty darn good it is, if I might say. You showed us an article about Buckminster Fuller in a comic book, but did Buckminster Fuller ever appear in a comic book story? Well, of course he did! Otherwise, why would I have created a whole post about him? (Actually, I just wanted to hear the words "Buckminster Fuller" in a Jimmy Stewart voice.)

Happy birthday, Bucky!
