Today in Comics History, June 5: Circus visitor murdered with custard pie and seltzer
from "The Man Who Couldn't Be Tried Twice!" in Batman #118 (DC, September 1958), script by Bill Finger, pencils by Bob Kane, inks by Ray Burnley, letters by Ira Schnapp
How obnoxious would it be of me to point out that its the subject of the testimony that took place on June 5th and not the testimony itself (unless, No-Prize alert, the trial's occurring a year later)?

ReplyDelete@Blam!: I've thought about that a lot (especially this year!) and pretty much decided that in most cases, I'll go with the date in the panel.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I won't, but that might be because of rule of funny.
I can't argue with that.
