Today in Comics History, November 2, 1959: The first edition of the New York Daily Splash is published

Modern newspapers need to start using the adjective 'kill-crazy' more often. 'A day after he yielded to mounting pressure to cancel the New York City Marathon, kill=crazy Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg declined to say why he had waited until less than 48 hours before the race to call it off.'
