Panel from The Avengers #280 (June 1987), script by Bob Harras,
breakdowns by Bob Hall, finishes by Kyle Baker, colors by Christie Scheele, letters by Janice Chiang
West Coast Avengers #6, shortly before this, was probably the first time I ever saw Baker's work. He was inking over Al Milgrom pencils and I was fascinated by the odd xerographic sheen that the art had.
Maybe he was just adjusting for inflation. ;)
ReplyDeleteHaw! I thought the very same thing.
ReplyDeleteDitto!
ReplyDeleteI also thought, "Gee, I've never read The Twelve, but I'm pretty sure JMS didn't use Judas Iscariot..."
Never seen Kyle Baker's work solely as an inker before. It's gorgeous. A misuse of talent, but wow!
