Comics Within Comics Week, Day 5: Be Sub-Conscious

I'm really enjoying this new series Bully. I'm wondering, did the panels supposedly clipped from "Strange Tales" and "Journey into Mystery" that Reed Richards used fool the Skrulls in "Fantastic Four #2" come from actual stories in those magazines, or was that just comic creator license? If anyone would know, you would.
Myron, I've never found anything that corresponded to those clippings in any of the "real" Strange Tales or Journey Into Mystery comics of the time. I think, however, that when this story was later done in flashbacks, there was at least one time that the comic panels were from real comics! I have to research that further. To the Bully-Comics-Vault!
