  2. An appropriate ten of a kind for Oscar weekend, but I'm afraid I just can't place the movie poster the issue of "The Loners" is based on.

  3. Erik, there's a clue in the alt-text of each cover--just hover your cursor over it.

    If that doesn't help, here's a second clue: it's a reference to a John Hughes film. As is, delightedly, every single cover of The Loners limited series.

    The local video store only has the "Flashback Edition" DVD with the photoshopped floating faces cover, so that may be why I didn't recognize the homage in the comic cover.
