I'm pretty sure this version is scored with the music of Erik Korngold. While not intended for this film, it's a nice fit!

    did you get the Melies box set?

    Its worth every hard earned penny and a joyous thing...and best of all now with the disc they just came out with its pretty much every surviving bit of the melies magic.

    Regarding the music: the first couple of minutes are definitely from Captain Blood, which IMDB has as an uncredited Korngold score.
