Actually, unlike some of these doors (which I've collected from the...uhhh...doorosphere), I actually took this photo, and it's No. 12 Brook Mews West (W2), near Paddington. If you looked straight up to the building above this, on the top (fifth) floor: that's where my pal John lived in 1983 during his first extended stay in London.
