The Ballad of Lieutenant D'Amato

  1. I actually first encountered that episode of Star Trek not on television, but reading it as a kid in one of the James Blish adaptation books I got at a used book store. I however was already aware of what happened to Any Person In A Red Shirt On Star Trek Not Named Scotty, so needless to say, when I finally saw the episode and saw D' Amato was a Blue Shirt, I was stunned. Hilarious work, Bully.

  9. Yeah, there is some leftover evil there, those last no word panels are really depressing.

  11. Oh thank you for this. So funny, so sad, such a mediocre episode.

  12. Losira, the curvaceous mystery woman who "touched" Lt. D'Amato to death, was played by Miss America beauty queen Lee Meriwether.
I really love the purple 2-piece, midriff-revealing costume she wears. I wonder what's holding up the flap that covers her navel?
Speaking of wearing tight outfits, Lee Meriwether also played Catwoman in the 1966 Batman feature film.
It tells you something about what a woman Lee is because she was able to easily don these 2 costumes AFTER giving birth to 2 daughters!

    "I Am For You..." ;P
