My pal Shelly the Little Otter Puppet brought to my attention that, in addition to Giant Green Star Wars Rabbit, the Star Wars Extended Universe (R.I.P.) also contains Giant Star Wars Otters! (They're actually called Selonians, but we won't let that stop us from describing them as Giant Star Wars Otters!)

As far as I can tell, Giant Star Wars Otters only appeared one other time in the comics, in a background scene in Star Wars #23. But nobody really noticed there was a Selonian in that panel.

Star Wars Cosplay Theater Week, Episode I: The Phantom Tank Menace

All this week over at 13th Dimension it's Star Wars Week, by which I suspect there might be something happening that'll rattle the Force until it's all shook up on Wednesday. Could it be...the release of Jar Jar Binks's new hip-hop album, "Meeso Amorous"? (Dunno, could beeeeeee.)

Anyway, in order to celebrate Star Wars Week, along with my continuing feature 365 Days of Star Wars Comics, let's kick off a week of Star Wars Cosplay Theater, in which your favorite comic book characters try to convince us they were in Star Wars. (You're not fooling anyone, Aquaman.)

Today: the elderly Captain Jeb Stuart swaps radio traffic with none else than Steve Trevor, who tries to engage him in a little Star Wars Cosplay. Unfortunately, even though Jeb is approximately one bajillion years old, he has never seen Star Wars, so the reference is apparently lost on him. Jeez, who doesn't know that bit?!

The 1987 2015 Marvel Age Calendar for Jovial January!

Hey, I forgot this at the beginning of January, so here it is, a wee bit late but as useful as soap nevertheless: your January calendar for the year 1987, straight from the pages of the late lamented hyperzine Marvel Age! How can that be useful, you're asking? (And that's a very good question.)

It's useful because, since calendar-makers are a cowardly and superstitious lot, they frequently re-use years over again, simply changing the calendar year! By a cosmic coincidence, 1987's calendar works perfectly in the year 2015! So just pull all your old copies of Marvel Age out of their longboxes, rip off the back covers, and...oh, wait, I see the inherent problem in that approach. Instead why not just check out right here where I'll be posting the 1987 Marvel Age Calendar all year long! Print 'em, cut 'em out, paste 'em on your wall, dig all the jokes about the New Universe, and don't forget to send birthday cards to all the creators listed every month!
