Iron Age is a one-shot story. It's not related to the overall continuity. Comic book Tony Stark and Downey Jr are very different. Stark in comics was much more darker and complex character, with more empathy and edge. Downey Jr is like a very soft, kid-friendly, lighthearted version of him.
