But the 1990's Cap movie is a good reminder that super-hero movies, with few exceptions, used to be low-rent affairs. Very low rent.

That said...I still kinda love the Dolph Lundgren Punisher.googumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17843267619711712271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16823651.post-89445311196498059552011-07-24T11:18:49.533-04:002011-07-24T11:18:49.533-04:00I only saw the beginning and end of this fillum.

But as long as movies were disconnected one-offs by outside producer/director, I'm sure they could say, "I want to put my own creative stamp on this and make it relevant today, etc., etc." So you get things like (a) move him to CA, (b) change the doctor, (c) change the girlfriend, (d) change the amount of time in activity, etc., in ways you might not realize are horribly orphaning the character from their milieu. Only if Marvel always maintained control could they take the "long view" and plan out a very long series of interconnected, mutually supporting films (something I think totally novel in the movies).

Then you've got the "Thor" movie which I enjoyed, but I feel is troubled by the same number of disconnection/revisions that I can't tell myself how it fits into the rest of the Marvel canon anymore.Deltahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00705402326320853684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16823651.post-30598389887425113432011-07-23T12:20:46.062-04:002011-07-23T12:20:46.062-04:00ggyyyaaakkkkggyyyaaakkkkDeltahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00705402326320853684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16823651.post-2646868628139661402011-07-23T07:54:55.286-04:002011-07-23T07:54:55.286-04:00you realize that the film-along with the two reb b...you realize that the film-along with the two reb brown ones are on syfy---or have ben for the last couple of days.

i suppose that saying i like some of the 1992 film will get me beaten up...i do like the action sequences with cap, the problem with the film-aside from rewriting red skulls history and other things is that other than the begining and the end it isn't a superhero movie...its a dull drama about other things. basically out of a wo hour movie 20 minutes-maybe- is good and the rest is a torture device for comicbook geeksSteve Kopianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05881135464953746959noreply@blogger.com
