This particular artwork reminds me: You know what would have made Diamond Dogs an even better album? A Jack Kirby cover.

Enjoyed it a lot, sir. A proper tribute if there ever was one.

Plus, I like anything that takes a look at style like you did, with a healthy dose of easter eggs.

That was pretty awesome. One of those things where you realize true genius if there ever was one.

Your "look" at the style was very enjoyable too :)

I know Mark Evanier's said on several occasions that when he finally completes his exhaustive Kirby biography (as opposed to the spiffy coffee table book we have now), we'll all be, like, "Oh, THAT'S why it took so long." I bring that up because today really showed not only the breadth and depth of Kirby's work, but also the tributes that have already come along, and consequently the expectations people have for a definitive biography that will produce that kind of reaction.

So, yeah, thanks muchly for the reminders -- and in some cases, the introductions! It was wildly entertaining, and worth the repeated visits from work (please don't tell my boss).

What a beautiful tribute. The 'mouse-overs' were extremely funny, and the range of the pieces you used was great.

I thought the tribute was awesome. I got a little choked up in a few spots. Thanks, Bully!

I got this link through ISB. I'm a day late, but I really enjoyed going through these entries. Thank you.

It's a DAMN shame that Jack Kirby isn't a household name in comparison to Stan Lee.

It was awesome. Thanks for doing it -- I literally spent hours reading it all. A great way to spend the King's birthday. :)

Well done. It brought up a lot of memories reading my brother's golden age collection when I was a wee lad...

He had all of the early Marvel series from the mid 60's to early 70's, and I read them cover to cover, over and over again.. and Jack was THE artist. I always felt Jack and Don Martin were highly underrated... but also both humble to a fault.

Thanks for bringing up memories and a long needed repository for a restrospective of Jack's work.. from your usually skewed perspective. Bully for you! Tell John to give you extra treats this weekend.
