Panel from Fantastic Four #310 (January 1988), script by Steve Englehart, pencils by Keith Pollard, inks by Joe Sinnott, colors by George Roussos, letters by John Workman
Me at age 14: "Wow, how's he going to get out of this one?"
Me at age 15: "His shorts are kind of pointy, but why isn't his belt more pointy? And how can he even walk?"
Me at age 18: "OK, yeah, just shoulder spikes and a spiky head? That makes much more sense. You rule, Walt Simonson!"
Me today, at age 36: "How did he ever stay clean like that? Even if he did get all the dirt, what kept water from getting in there and mildewing? That's CRAZY."

Yeah I always wondered, even with creative license for artists' ease, why Benji was spiky everywhere except conveniently his hip-area.
Those unstable molecule trunks are getting a workout there...
(And keep this up, Bully! You're making the year fly by!)
